Hi all

Having been looking through the many very useful topics, I have found various references to research and specific records from casualties to pension records. I use most of the research sites and find all sorts of anomalies, but find that they are generally ok for the medal & clasp verification and any casualty records. There is reference to finding service records on Ancestry and FmP, but I have looked for a number of my recipients, including those that I already have the records, without success.

I am just wondering if the most enlightened of the members would share their process of research in order for us to have a fighting chance of finding that useful and elusive information?

Here's hoping!

Doug.

Hi all

I know it is me being a bit dopey, but I remember a book that contains all of the MID in the Boer war, but can't remember what it is called, can anyone help please?

I know they are on the site, but I just need to know about this book!

Morning Mike

I don't recognise the name, but it sounds right. I don't suppose you know what the cover is like? I have just tried to look for a copy to see it but can't find one!

Mike

This looks great, but the one I remember had pages of dates and then the MID was in order of officers and then other ranks in regiment order, but as I say, this looks excellent, thanks. I just need to find one now:)

Did it have an ISBN?
