Tim,

I am just looking. There are no immediate matched but there are several men called R Page who served in the Boer War.

It is feasible that he could have been back home for the 1901 census.

I will keep looking ...

His home was Derbyshire?

Tim,

No one is jumping out so far so a deeper dive is needed

Just as a slight added complication...

He may have gone under the name of his father (Charles) Clements

Ie. Reuben Clements

In later life he used Clements as his middle name, adopting his mothers surname 'Page' ie. Reuben Clements Page

Thanks again

Yes, he was native to South Normanton (Blackwell/Alfreton) Derbyshire.

The other option could be, the man in the film is not him.
