Hi All

Let me start by appologising for the disgusting pictures (taken with mobile), if only I had known they were on display I would have taken my camera. The over head lighting was also a problem regards reflection on the glass.

Last Sunday there was a Coin and Medal fair at our local Durban Casino, sadly not much regards medals except this amazing display of ex President Paul Krugers awards, they have not been on public display for 10 years.

Amazing awards, however the display left much to be desired, they could have name tagged them and laid them out neater.

Frank you are bad :)

Comparing the display to the picture he is rather "underdressed"?

What a pity such an historic display of awards was laid out like this. On hindsight I should have taken a pic of each one right up against the glass but we all have heard about "hindsight".

Just looking at the countries that bestowed awards on him, Britian must have been "the bad boy of Europe" even back then...then again is the UK really part of Europe, they seem to do their own thing for much of the time?

Going on the results of the latest elections ummmm

Hello Brian,
Well, I'm not at all surprised really, awful table manners and a Wagnerian comic book opera uniform would be needed as far as the wretched Red Eagle goes, to be quite honest with you, I think I would have merely sent it back to Willy had it been me!
Regards Frank
