Good Morning Everyone.......

Just going through the latest Jeffrey Hoare Auction and came across two very rare items that the members of the forum might be interested in......

Tried to cut and past a thread but was unable to do so, therefore I will give you the lot numbers.....

Lot No. 5: Queen’s South Africa Medal dated 1899-1900, five clasps Natal, Orange Free State, Belfast, South Africa 1901 and 1902. Named: 350 PTE P.E. SIMPSON, LD. STRATHCONA’S H:

This one is previously Un-Known and has not been on the market before.

and a very rare cap badge.....

Lot No. 450: Canadian Garrison Artillery (Boer War type), Gilt cap badge, flaming grenade, below the grenade a scroll bearing “CANADA”, slider fastener, Maz. MS-9. Extremely scarce badge.

Good Luck if you are going to go after them.....

Oh Yes, I will not.....

I thought that was unusual too.

Looks like he earned 01 and 02 from subsequent service in the 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles.
