Hello everyone and any one,
Have just bought my first QSA and wondered were I might start tracing the recipient.

He is 3000 Pte J Hammond,2nd Lincolns, (I normally collect WW1 to this regt but thought I would branch out) his QSA has four bars, CC,OFS,Jo,SA01.
Have checked ancestry and this is only entitlement but would like to know his first name and if possible were he came from.

Can someone point me in the right direction.

Cheers.Lee

Hello again Lee,
Not sure if you have navigated the site yet but there is a good area "Unit information" detailing the Lincolnshire Regt. Boer War engagements.
Link below

www.angloboerwar.com/unit-information/im...incolnshire-regiment

And good luck with any further research.

Paul :)

Thanks for the info.
still working my way round the site and it all looks very helpful.

Had my eye on a couple of QSA/KSA pairs and QSA singles in the past but never bought.

Now I've taken the plunge I can only see more on the way.
The WW1 stuff at the mo is a bit hit and miss on the price, but I still pick up a few good bits.

Thanks again for all your help.

Lee
