Yes, a bit of a puzzle! However, it must exist as Neil Smith's booklet covering the CofCR shows (apparently) a nominal roll - but no clasp entitlements. Your man shown as "P398 QMS George W. Ward, address Pretoria, Transvaal and discharged 5/11/01". I had a bit of a trawl through WO100/241 in case the pages were mis-filed; no luck.

The second or third copy of the roll must have it. It will probably be next to the Xalanga Mounted Rifles! Dr David Biggins
