Natal Rebellion Medal (Named) - Bar: 1906
1914 Star (Named) - Reissued
British War Medal 1914-20 (Named) - Reissued
Victory Medal (Named) - Reissued
Khedive's Star - 1882

It was on a local site over here with a starting price of R 100 000. No surprise there were no takers.....

That's nearly $10,200.00 Canadian...... So my bid of $125.00 will not stand, LOL......

The thing that bothers me is the naming, it makes the hair on my neck stand up......

Where do I start?

I can't find him on a KSA roll anywhere. Then I asked him about the naming on the Natal Rebellion which is wrong to my mind. He replied that he had no reason to believe that the medal had been tampered with. Then there's the WWI medals - I asked him why he said the WWI medals were re-issued. He replied that only the name and not the regiment was on the medals.

All very confusing...

I think the QSA is fine, the KSA is renamed, the Victory Medal looks odd. Don't know enough to pronounce on the Natal medal - but there is a W Gilbert on the roll..

I have asked for whatever details can be gleaned on the Egypt Medal.
