I have been searching the on-line records but have failed to find any results.
I realise this mans records may not exist but sometimes fresh eyes work miracles ;)
The information I have is 4975 Private E.Ward 1st Battalion Royal Irish Fusilers he is listed in David's Talana publication.
I have found his entitlement in WO100/205 p56 & WO100/345 p82
Even without available service records Anglo Boer War records are usually on-line.
I do not own this medal but have been offered it, sadly it is a split with the KSA missing.
Any information gratefully received.

Regards
Paul :)

Paul,

It appears he has no service papers from prior to the Great War.

Which other sources are you looking for?

Best wishes
David

Hi David,

I have searched Find My Past for service records without success and I have checked for pension records on Ancestry, no joy.
I know the medal is ok reference your publication, always a bonus if you can research the man further.
Seems sadly not the case here.

Regards
Paul :)

Paul,

I think he falls into the category of little information available which is a great shame :(
