Good Afternoon Everyone.......

I was going through a number of old medal catalogues this morning that I had been given yesterday and had a minor OMG or maybe a major OMG moment......

The catalogue was from 1976 and QSA's were selling for as little as 18.00 Pounds, in fact the most expensive one was 160.00 Pounds to an Officer of the Rhodesia Regiment with R. of M. and Rhodesia bars who was a famous cricketer and was also KIA..... Oh for the want of a time machine...... But I digress.......

There is an article at the beginning of the Catalogue which gives a nominal and medal roll for the Barberton Town Guard, written at one time by Mr. W. H. Fevyer using PRO / WO.100.280......

In the roll are two brothers that I have in my collection......

Both medals were purchased from ebay in the 1990's, one from The United States and one from South Africa......

If anyone wants a copy of the Barberton Roll please let me know and I will get one to you.......

I sold the QSA to L S Hulley to Roberts Medals in May 1985 and I sold the QSA to S I Hulley through a City Coin Postal Auction in March 2003.

Well they are in a good home.......

The LS was bought in Feb 2009 from Mithracoins and SI in May of 2009 from Victoria132.....I was looking at the wrong column when I mentioned the 1990's.....

151 on roll, medals returned, deleted, unclaimed and not recommended 17 leaving total of 134, roll is endorsed for 130 medals......
