I agree, it's a superb looking jersey. I would think that if there are any still around that they would command a good price. Wonderful item with both a military and sports link.

I suppose that some records might still exist of a football "win" (with a nice big silver cup) by CP prior to the ABW? Might be worth a try in the archives. Colin Walker's Register further notes "On D.Taylor photo fo Cape Police football team, annotated by John Scally "Hodson (sic) died of wounds".
Well, whoever John Scally was, he got the surname spelling wrong and the cause of death is not in accord with other sources.
When I was putting the initial post together, I took only passing regard of the CP football jersy. Funny the turns that a post takes!
