Thanks for accepting me to this site.

My granddad was a scout for Danie Theron (amongst other things), he was wounded in the head at Colenso,captured and cared for by the British.

I attach his "Lint voor Wonden" certificate.

Is there anywhere I can look to establish for certain that he was also awarded the ABO medal, and if not, where I can apply?

Hello Chris,

W.W.H Greef is mentioned in D.R Forsyth's DTD, ABO and LVW Roll. He served in the Heilbron Commando.

A copy of his Vorm "B" should be available. Contact Dewald Nel at [email protected] he could be of some help to you.
