Yes he was, serving in "D" Company, 4th Battalion. East Surrey Regiment.....

Was one of the reasons that I bought it.....

Do you think that a Relief of O'okiep clasp was being discussed at the time, the roll certainly makes for interesting reading.

There should have been a Defence and Relief but I think that the country and the government was war weary at the time.....

For action on both sides O'Okiep was far more interesting than the most well known and expensive (medal wise) siege.
