I have just taken possession of these beauties (see photos)

William Burns was a Journalist operating out of Lourenco Marques when he joined up.

He saw service wiith Brabant's Horse in the Boer War staying around long enough to earn himself the Wittebergen and Belfast clasps (his full entitlement) then he went on to serve in WWI with the SA Scottish (4th SAI) but didn't make it to France on account of ill health.

With the pair came his SWB number 1111 (how's that for a number!) and a Brabant's Horse badge. (Could someone confirm if this is the correct badge - it came with the medals)

This is his entire entitlement for both wars.

Regards

Rory
