I have looked on the crew listing for HMS Terrible that is on this forum that there is not a mention of my Grandfather Walter Albert Morse who at the time was a stoker and served on the Zululand Expeditionary Force and then went with the Terrible to China. I have his QSA medal with the NATAL clasp and his Queens China. Is there a reason that he is missing off the list.
I also have the QSA medal for one Flaherty, Stoker who was on the No.4 12 pounder Gun Tientsin Defence Force. Does any one have info on whether he received the Queens China medal, please?
I also have the QSA medal for a J. Kelly Stoker who was on Terrible but I cannot find any record of him - is there some who can help please?

Mike Thank you. You are correct about the mis-spelling of his surname. The name on the rim of the QSA is mis-spelt as well!
The info you provided came from the HMS Terrible unit information. Is there anywhere that would supply the names of all the crew of the Terrible from the time it went to then up to Singapore where some of the crew were changed over?

Sorry cannot help you there..... I think that it may be hard to find..... At this time all I can suggetst is to get a copy of the book by George Crowe, M.M.A., called The Commission of HMS Terrible (1898 to 1902), should be available from Naval and Military Press......

My Father bought the book thank you but as ever with these sorts of books they never give you the info that you want. Would the naval archives hold such information as crew names for that sort of voyage?
