Images in the form of jpeg, jpg, gif and png format files can be attached to posts in the forum. Files must be less than 350k in size before they can be attached.
To attach a file:
1. Create or reply to a post on the forum
2. Below the message box, in the Attachments area, click on Add File
3. In the pop up window, choose the file you would like to attach and click Open. Files must be attached individually.
4. The file will be listed in the Attachments window. If the file has been chosen in error, click on Remove File
5. If you want to include the image in the post so that it is visible without clicking on it (this is the recommended method), move the cursor in the message to where the image should be located (eg a blank line in the body of the post) and click Insert (which is next to the image name in the Attachments window). You will see a line of text appear in the post. Don't worry that you don't see the image, it will be displayed once you save the post.
6. You can add more images in the same way, following steps 2 - 5.
7. When all the images have been added and the post is complete, click Submit. There will be a slight delay as the images are uploaded to the server. If any images cannot be uploaded (eg they are too large), an message will be shown on the top of the forum page.
Notes:
a. Up to 8 images can be added to a single message. if you have more than 8 images, add 8 to the first message and then reply to the message and add more images.
b. If you don't insert the image in the post, it is shown as an attachment that users can click to view.
c. The maximum pixel size of images on the forum is 1000 x 1000. Images larger than this can be uploaded and will be resized to this maximum.
