I wanted to refresh the count of the number of images on the site this morning. The previous number I had was 11,000 which I knew to be outdated.

Looking at the main areas where there are images and photos, we have:

6,700 attestation papers
3,924 nominal roll images for SA forces
637 pictures of medals
489 pictures from books
901 unit pictures

I hadn't realised how many images there are in the forum, nearly 6,000!

That gives a total of 18,868 images as of today.

The site is a most valuable research asset. It is getting easier to use and at times I would be lost without it!
