Both shocking and unnecessary. A memorial could have been placed either inside the cemetery, if there was space, or outside the entrance, without having to disturb graves.

I doubt that the finger of blame will ever find anyone to point at; backs will be covered.

Thank you for the list, Elmarie. Perhaps the Walter Sisulu Local Council should be given a copy so that they can erect a single memorial in Aliwal North's town square, where it can join any other memorials already there. This could turn into a profitable business for an enterprising person.
