I am calling on the collective sleuthing skills of Forum members!

I have purchased an ABO/WWI/SWB group to a Burgher Adolphus Patrick Jeremiah McDuling. I can't make out what the last place is on the attached. I suspect it is a corruption of Itala/Fort Itala/Tala but am not sure.

He served with the Vryheid Commando.

Hi Rory,

I had a look at the Vryheid ABO’s in my collection; one of them references fighting with Botha at iTaleni and Fort Prospect when he led an invasion into Natal via Bloemfontein.

I suspect that your man was there at iTaleni as well.
