I recently went on Ancestry .com and was able to obtain my grandfather's Short service record enrolment form.

I wonder if anyone knew how I go about obtaining my grandfather's service record. The MOD cannot help me.

What was your grandfather's name and number and when did he serve please?

Thank you for your interest. My grandfather 's name is George Christopher Waldron. His service number is 15213. He enlisted on 18th February 1900 and served in the 74th Company (Dublin) of the Imperial Yeomanry, which landed in South Africa on 3rd May 1900. I don't know how long his service in the Yeomanry lasted but he was back in England by 26th August 1901, when he joined the Royal Navy.

Any guidance for how I can find his service record would be much appreciated.
