In his book (For God, Queen and Colony), under Stanger Mtd. Rifles, Terry Sole lists James Robbins as severely wounded with the Natal Volunteer Guides at Ghingelovo.
But in the section on the NVG, Sole says there were no casualties to the unit.
He is not found in any casualty roll known to me - so I don't think he was wounded in action.
