Good morning all -

I think that "Heidelberg" may be refering to this group.





I have been the lucky custodian of these medals since 2009 and I had approached Heidelberg to see if he would like to purchase them. The gentleman that he is, he said that it is such a beautiful group that I should reconsider selling, and rather keep hold of them.

I really enjoy the groups in my collection and the decision to let one go is not easy, so finding the right buyer is important to me. I do make use of auction houses, but I prefer the personel contact and the frienships that one can build up through the transfer of these fascinating items.

Thank you David for a brilliant site, and thank you, other members, for keeping (perhaps re-igniting) the passion for a wonderful hobby.

There is a group with a dealer with the BSAP no bar to MRF, a single bar Cape and a state bar only QSA, for GBP1100.

So I would expect the Kimberly Star to add a couple hundred more and the defence more too. Unless GBP1100 is too high to start with.

Really hard to put a price on this type of thing. Feel comfortable whatever you do.

But that is a very nice group and I would buy it if someone offered it to me! Can you afford not to?
