Hello Mike,
I'm rather confused, could you clarify what you mean, Jestyn Nicholas served with their 3rd Battalion in South Africa and as he was still in Great Britain until well into April 1902, he could not have had a "second deployment" infact he only served until October that year before returning home, one assumes, to all the pomp, glossiness and splendour that went hand in hand with the day to day life in his regiment in London.
Regards Frank

Found him on the medal roll twice....

He was entitled to the bars CC/TVL/02 with the 2nd Bn.... and with his 2nd deployment he arrived in Capetown, on May 3rd, 1902.....

Good Morning Frank.....

You are right it is 3rd Battalion.... I read it wrong..... I found him on page 261 of the roll and again on page 290a and in my mind put 1 and 1 together and got 3..... I may be reading it wrong but on 261 signed in Aldershot Dec. 02 gives him the medal and bars entitlement and 290a states not entitled to medal, note 290a has his name spelt wrong and then corrected...... I have let my FMP and Ancestry laps as I could never find anything on them.....
