I agree - it would go for much more - its already list as sold on ebay. So don't understand how it can also be on auction with Kensington Bond?

A very nice group, I would have preferred if the seller incluuded the naming on the medals. At least there is a realistic reserve / starting bid, usually it would be twice+

I would be tempted to bid if it was form one of the people I usually deal with on line.

The McKenzie medals and other items came from his family. They had been in a museum for many years but were retrieved by the family when it seemed that such Colonial treasures may have a less than secure future. Apart from the missing CB, which could still be tucked away in the museum or family home, all the items have been well cared for and are as McKenzie left them.

I had hoped that Rory, who is close to the scene of action, would come on to the forum to explain what has led to this extraordinary way of selling the McKenzie collection. I will press him to do so.
