Leafing through some old Bosleys catalogues I came across another 26-clasp QSA conforming to the pattern outlined in my earlier post. Perhaps the most noticeable feature is the double ring surmounting the claw suspension. The clasps also exhibit all the typographical anomalies that I have previously noted.

This one sold on 14 Dec 2005 (Est. £450 - £500).

What a fascinating artefact that bracelet is, Neville. Many thanks for sharing the images and information.

According to the Daily Mirror of 16 Nov 1914, this 24-clasp example belonged to Lord Roberts.
As one would expect for a medal belonging to such a prominent military figure, the clasps all appear to conform to the official pattern.

Earlier in this thread I showed a photo of a QSA with all 26 bars attached on one ribbon......

There was no naming on the medal but I have been notified by a fellow collector who has been offered the same medal QSA plus 26 bars and on the edge is marked (engraved) "Gift of the Master of the Mint"......

Does anyone else have a similar medal and what is on the edge of yours.....
