I seldom ever even bother to look at ebay, it does go some way to explaining the ribbon though, still, medals to this regiment, even in poor condition, don't turn up very often and are well worth buying if they are issue free.

I echo Frank's earlier comment about a preference for 5DG QSA over a 5L QSA. Notwithstanding the issue over which Lancers did charge, there were some 160 5DG QSAs compared to 403 5L QSAs.
