No luck for me sadly. Some nice QSAs on offer but my 5 bids all failed

I bid on one QSA and was successful. I am hoping that the man will be a good research subject, since there are many records on him in the National Archives repository in Pietermaritzburg. Hopefully, there will be more on him in this forum after the medal is settled in its new home and there are some research results completed.

Assessing the possible research potential before you purchase is a good way to select your purchase. We look forward to hearing about the medal and the man when you have had chance to look into him.

It is a long time since I had a 'Natal name' with research potential, so I am looking forward to this project. Even if it does turn out to be disappointing, it is still a good medal that fills a gap in my collection.
