John Henry Ford, Driver ‘K’ Battery attached to ‘Q’ Battery RHA. He died of disease at Kroonstad on 24 May 1900, aged 36.

Estimate £140-£180

According to Q Battery memorial, Ford was not present at Sannah's post, hence low estimate.

I have previously posted a list of those from Q Battery who received their medal in the presentation ceremony but I don't recall a memorial. Where is this please?

The published list from the times of those who received their medal has (in some places on the net) has been referred to as the "Q Battery Memorial", I can appreciate that this may have been misleading to yourself and others and apologies for what may be considered a poor use of the Term.

That's no problem. I know which list you mean.

I had thought that report in The Times was only a partial list of the men of Q Battery. I will do a cross check with the roll to see what percentage of the men likely to have been present at Koorn Spruit also attended the presentation.
