Sorry for late reply, the reason I asked that was simply because when the medals were originally issued to members of the British Army, the naming was rather different.
The way it worked was the War Office sent a list of those entitled to the Company and the latter then clarified the naming to it's contractor.
So in the particular case of the 7th Hussars, they were simply named, 7TH HUSS, of course, on a QSA, it is perfectly normal to see the word Hussars, in full.
Your medals are most unusual and very interesting indeed as well as being rare examples.
