Hello,

I have this medal and I am trying to find to some more about it. I believe it is a misspelling on H.E. Lawday but it is stamped H. E. Lawdy

Can anyone help?

Cheers,
Steve

Harold Edgar Lawday served as 7241 Private in the Worcestershire Company of the 5th Battalion Imperial Yeomanry during the Anglo Boer War and served again during the Great War in the Worcestershire Yeomanry.

Thanks so much for that. Are these medals common and is there anything else I should know about it as I have been doing some digging and not been able to find much apart from one that sold in the USA a while back for 650 dollars.

No, I would not say they were common in any way whatsoever!
