May I ask where you look up this info? Yesterday I saw that the national archives in 2010 made available their military files but it seemed that it you had to pay a subscription? Is it from those files or a book.

Hello Thomas,
The original material is available at the National Archives and the British Newspaper Library, these days, depending on what you are actually looking for, much of it is available online via ancestry/FMP etc.
