I have the QSA CC/Tr/OFS to 1222 Cpl Harry Boddington who suffered gunshot wounds to his mouth, jaw and chest and was unsurprisingly invalided as a result. I have copies of his WO 97 and PIN 71 files.

I also have the QSA CC/RoL to 5613 Pte. Albert Broughton who suffered a gunshot wound to the face and was also invalided. His WO 97 file was 'borrowed' by the Ministry of Pensions in 1943 and not returned but I have his PIN 71 file.

Broughton is one of several casualties shown as being at Spion Kop or Spearman's Camp on the 20th or 21st January 1900. These men were in fact casualties at Venter's Spruit. (The Border Regiment weren't involved in the battle of Spion Kop on the 24th).
