Yes, .303inch Mark V Ball rounds were indeed still used on the outposts of Empire well after being withdrawn for Civilised Warfare. I have a reference to a batch being made for Colonial service in 1907, I recall; I will have a better look later - however I think it was for Somaliland. I am not aware of other post ABW use but would not be surprised! Last night, I was trawling through one of my collection of Treatises on Ammunition (1904 edition) and there was an interesting para or two about "expanding" bullets. I have been thinking of doing a topic on that subject and trying to dispel some of the incorrect statements made elsewhere then and now. Really, Some Hope!
