George,

A William Dade Regimental number 2534 attested into the Cape Police at the end on June 1902.

I wonder if it's the same man?? The papers will show previous service.

I will have a look at his papers in CMP 9 for you when next in the Cape Archives which will be in September.

Morning Adrian,
I really cannot see how this would not be the same man, not a very common name really!

Hello Adrian
Another Unit that he might have served in? Do you think he actually enjoyed warfare? He certainly seems to have been a glutton for punishment! I should be grateful if you would look him up in September, especially if there is a chance that a next of kin and an actual date and place of birth are listed in the papers.
Regards
George

Hello George,

Perhaps he was a sucker for punishment!!!

There is usually mention of NOK and place/date of birth etc.

I will get back to you as soon as I am there.

Regards
